Saracens to thank Emergency Services at Derby Day
Saracens are offering complimentary tickets to any member of the London Emergency Services for the upcoming Derby Day clash against Harlequins, as a show of support for the inspiring work officers continue to provide the people of London.
The North London club are teaming up with the Metropolitan Police, the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade to offer their workers the chance to attend the Aviva Premiership Rugby round 19 clash completely free of charge. Over 60,000 tickets have already been sold for the game in which the London Air Ambulance is the charity partner.
London Emergency Services personnel can claim their tickets for Saracens vs Harlequins at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 8th April, the club have announced today.

Saracens Chairman, Nigel Wray said “We would like to put on record our gratitude and thanks for the wonderful work our emergency services do on a daily basis in this great city by offering them free entry to one of the biggest days in the capital’s sporting calendar. We hope that in a very small way we can help highlight just how much Londoners appreciate how the emergency services keep us all safe.”
Metropolitan Police Federation Chairman, Ken Marsh said on hearing the news from Nigel Wray, “Our thanks go to Saracens RFC for this heartfelt gesture, their generosity is incredible.”
Acting Commissioner Craig Mackey said “What an amazing generous offer. It is inspiring to see how London comes together during our time of need.”
