Saracens U18 name team for Academy Finals day
Saracens U18 have named their team to face Worcester at Sixways in the U18 Finals Day on Thursday.
Sixways plays host to Finals Day for the very first time, with Saracens Under 18s kicking off the day against Worcester Warriors in the fifth-place play-off at 12.30pm.
After wins against London Irish, Exeter Chiefs and most recently, Bath Rugby, Saracens U18 will line up for the final time this season.
“This is the last game for these U18 age players, and their final opportunity to show what they’ve worked on all season,” said Academy Manager, Don Barrell. “It’s always an emotional day as we say goodbye to some players and welcome some into the junior academy set-up but it’s a great opportunity for all of them to showcase the Saracens way of playing in what promises to be a big occasion. “
“As we’re coming to end of the season for the U18s I’d like to say a thank you to all the Mum’s and Dad’s and extended family who have helped support these young players over the years. They have been with us every step of the way, driving across the country, supporting their sons and we’re very grateful for their efforts. I’d also like to pass on my thanks to all the academy coaches and support staff at the club and our partner clubs across Hertfordshire, Essex and Kent, without all of their dedication we wouldn’t have the highly functioning academy that we were blessed with at Saracens today.”
