Saracens Women name 2XV team to face Wasps FC Ladies

Saracens Women have named their 2XV team to face Wasps FC Ladies at Allianz Park on Sunday, kick-off 14H00.

Saracens currently sit at the top of the 2XV table and are yet to drop a game in the competition with Wasps in second spot, taking three wins from four.

Rowan White features in the squad at outside centre after recovering from an injury which has kept her out since the end of 2017.  The England U20 international will partner Sarah Bebbington in the midfield. There’s plenty of pace in the back three with Eloise Bloomfield, Georgie Lingham and Nina Vistisen named.

There’s a mix of youth and experience in the half backs with England U20 Ella Wyrwas starting at scrum half alongside Sarries stalwart April Brown.

Charlotte Fredrickson comes in to start at loose head prop with Scarlett Cooper-Wall and Sarah Barber securing the remaining front row berths. Anna Stodter skippers from the second row alongside Dutch international Tess Wijmans. Head coach Rob Cain has named a lively back row with Kay Searcy at No.8 and Bronwen Jackson-Turner and Lauren Newman on the flanks.

Speaking ahead of the match, Rob Cain said: “There’s been a great feeling in training this past week and we are all excited to welcome Wasps to Allianz Park. They have been rising high in the A League and we are looking forward to the challenges they will present. Our inner competition is really showing itself and it's another opportunity for everyone to put themselves in the shop window for next week’s Premier 15s squad. We have a really exciting team out. It's great to welcome back Rowan and April. The front row and the back row really excites me with energy and physicality throughout.
