Saracens Women name side to face Aylesford Bulls
Saracens Women have named their squad to face Aylesford Bulls at Allianz Park in round six of the Women’s Premiership, Sunday kick-off 15h30.
Saracens welcome back hooker Vicky Fleetwood to the starting line up after a year away competing with England and GB 7s. She’s joined in the front row by loosehead prop Kerrie-Ann Craddock and Geri Thomas at tighthead prop.
Ellie Gattlin is promoted from the bench to start in the second row with Marcella Collins. Anna Stodter moves into the backrow alongside Lauren Newman and captain Sonia Green.
In the halves, April Brown retains her scrumhalf jersey and is partnered by Emily Scott at fly half. Last week’s Player of the Match, Claire Allan is out through injury so French flyer Seraphine Okemba, who scored a brace against Wasps, moves into outside centre and is joined by Zoe Harrison in the Sarries midfield.
Garnet Mackinder returns fresh from her hat trick last week and is joined on the opposite wing by Chrissy Siczowa who returns to the squad. Nina Vistisen completes the team at fullback.
Speaking ahead of the match, Rob Cain said: “We are excited about this weekends game against a new look Aylesford Bulls team who have been playing some very well executed, confrontational rugby. Our players have worked hard this week and our aim and challenge is repeat and move on from our previous performance against Wasps. It’s great to welcome back Vicky to the squad. She’s a dangerous ball carrier and it’s going to be great to see her run out after a year away. If we can keep doing the little things well under pressure then we can keep building a platform to play from and ask lots of questions of Aylesford this weekend.”
