Saracens Women Name Side To Face Wasps Ladies

Saracens Women have named their squad to travel to Wasps Ladies in round five of the Women’s Premiership, Saturday kick-off 14h00.

Head coach Rob Cain will be looking for his side to bounce back from last week’s defeat to Worcester Valkyries and has opted for changes to his playmaking combinations.

Eighteen year old Zoe Harrison trades jerseys with Emily Scott, with the pair lining up at fly half and inside centre. Claire Allan joins her GB 7s team mate in the centres as she fills the thirteen shirt. Garnet Mackinder and Seraphine Okemba retain their spots on the wings with Nina Vistisen returning at fullback.

Prop Kerrie-Ann Craddock is given her first Premiership start since returning from injury, whilst hooker Kat Evans and prop Geri Thomas complete the front row. Marcella Collins resumes her partnership with Anna Stodter in second row. Skipper Sonia Green leads the squad at number eight and is joined by flankers Becky Roby and Lauren Newman in the Sarries backrow.

Speaking ahead of the match, Rob Cain said: “This Saturday is all about a response and performance. It’s been a week full of frustrated players and we have the opportunity tomorrow to put things in action which we have discussed this week. Wasps will be very physical and their position in the table doesn't reflect them as a team. We need to be more clinical with our execution and this will allow us to really show how dangerous we can be with the ball in hand.”
