Sarries help Red Roses to win over Baabaas
Saracens Women helped England Women to a 40 - 14 win over Barbarians Women in an historic fixture at Twickenham on Sunday 2 June.
Less than 24 hours after Saracens Men did the double in an epic 37 - 34 Premiership Final win over Exeter Chiefs, members of the TP15s Championships winning side played key roles in a professional performance by the Red Roses.
Hannah Botterman, Poppy Cleall, Zoe Harrison and Sarah McKenna were all in the starting XV for England while Ellena Perry and Rosie Galligan were named on the bench. For the Barbarians, Georgie Gulliver, in her last match before retiring, and Hannah Casey were among the replacements.
England went in at half-time 28 - 0 up with Botterman and Cleall both going over for two of their four tries while Harrison, who had a fine all-round game, nailed all four of her conversions.
The Baabaas hit back with two tries in the second half but England made sure of the win with two more of their own through Lark Davies and Kelly Smith. Perry, Galligan, Gulliver and Casey all got their chance to impress off the bench in the second 40.
