Sarries Stars Selected For Six Nations
Saracens are delighted to have three of their players named in the Scotland and Wales squads for the Six Nations.
Liam Williams has been called up by Warren Gatland for the Wales squad that opens their campaign against Scotland on February 3rd in Cardiff. Sean Maitland and Duncan Taylor will be available for new Scotland boss Gregor Townsend as he selects his team for the match.
Williams played his last Wales match against Georgia in November and made his keenly anticipated return from injury for Sarries against Ospreys on Saturday. Taylor has missed the past couple of weeks for Sarries but has been declared fit for the five-round tournament that will take place between February 3rd and March 17th.
Former British and Irish Lion Maitland played and scored for Scotland in November’s famous 53-24 win over Australia and will hope to carry that momentum forward alongside Taylor in the Scottish back-line.
The announcements mark further recognition for Saracens on the international stage in 2018, having already had seven players in attendance at England’s training camp in Brighton at the start of the month (Nathan Earle, Owen Farrell, Nick Isiekwe, Maro Itoje, Billy Vunipola, Jamie George and Mako Vunipola)
