Sarries U18 side named for Finals Day

Saracens Under-18s have named their squad for Finals Day at Allianz Park this Sunday.

Having finished second in the southern conference of the 2017/18 Premiership Rugby U18 academy league, Mike Hynard’s side will play Wasps for third place at 12pm.

In their six games, the young Sarries won four, scoring 26 tries in total.

Academy coach James Tirrell: “We’ve really enjoyed the Under-18s league. It’s a good competition for the boys who’ve come out of school rugby and for academy boys to play against academy boys.

“That’s been really encouraging this year; watching them solve problems, watching them discuss, as a group, how they can better and that’s why we’re all proud of the boys’ efforts.

“We just try to keep getting better.”

The game is open to the public.
