Team News: Bristol Bears vs Saracens

Saturday’s match at Bristol Bears will be a special one for Saracens scrum-half Tom Whiteley.

The scrum-half will make his first league start at Ashton Gate – the latest of a long line of players to come through the club’s Academy to begin a Premiership encounter.

He will have a familiar face outside him with Max Malins switching to fly-half and Alex Goode returning at full-back.

Marcelo Bosch, who recently announced he will leave the club at the end of the season, forms a centre partnership with Nick Tompkins while Sean Maitland and Alex Lewington feature on the wings.

There are six changes to the pack that began last weekend’s win over Newcastle Falcons. Christopher Tolofua and Titi Lamositele are named in the front row and there is a fresh second row of Nick Isiekwe and Will Skelton.

Calum Clark and Jackson Wray join Mike Rhodes in the back row.
