There’s a really strong family environment here - Judge
Christian Judge described the atmosphere at Saracens as a ‘really strong family environment’ after joining for a second spell at the club.
The 26-year-old featured 12 times in a short-term loan from Cornish Pirates in the first half of the campaign before heading back to Cornwall in January.
The prop's willingness to lear and improve was evident to see in his four months at the club and he has now returned to Allianz Park on a deal until the end of the current campaign, relishing the opportunity to be part of a group with such a high work ethic.
He said: “To be here for the first half of the season was amazing and I loved it so to be here for the rest of the season is something that I’m hugely excited about.
“There’s a really strong family environment here. Everybody works for each other, everybody works hard and it’s something you see on the pitch and off it too.
“Everyone gets around each other; if guys want to do extras there’s always someone to hold a bag or help out and I think that goes a long way to translating things on to the pitch and being successful.
“I think it’s that real togetherness that I probably would say is one of the biggest things that I found last time and I definitely found that as a player coming in that helped me a lot as well.”
Judge continued: “One of the biggest things I probably learned was just always holding yourself to the highest standard.
“Something that I definitely always try and do is push myself to be better and that was just something that from day one I saw around the club all the time.
“It was something I thought I could really relate to and now I’m back until the end of the season I’m looking forward to getting stuck in, working hard, being back around the place and hopefully improving more.”
