2016 will mark the fourth occasion that France has hosted European club rugby's most prestigious final and the first time that both finals are staged at the same venue.
The two matches will be the first major rugby occasions at the state-of-the-art Grand Stade de Lyon which is situated in the Parc Olympique Lyonnais and which was officially opened earlier this month. The stadium will also be one of the venues for the UEFA Euro 2016 finals hosting six games, including a semi-final.
Bath Rugby were the first winners on French soil when they defeated Brive in the 1998 final in Bordeaux, then it was the turn of Leicester Tigers who were victors against Stade Francais Paris at the Parc des Princes in 2001, before Toulouse won the title at the Stade de France in 2010.
