Together Saracens: Our Journey
When you join the season ticket holder family you’re joining the whole club on our journey, not just for that season but for many seasons to come.
As a club our journey over the last five years has been a memorable one. Since moving to our home Allianz Park we’ve seen the club go from strength to strength, both on the pitch and off it.
So, to celebrate our journey, we’ve picked out some of our most memorable moments over the past few seasons.
Making north London our home
We’ve been calling Allianz Park home since 2013 and last season celebrated our fifth anniversary in north London. Known as a family friendly stadium, and with plenty of open space around the ground, Allianz Park is a unique place to watch rugby. Whether you’re enjoying a pre-match pint in the Olympic Bar, named after the warm up track which was installed here from the 2012 Olympics, or enjoying a throw around with friends and family after the game on the 4G pitch there’s plenty of ways to be part of the Allianz Park atmosphere. Of course our home is made special by our players, but it’s also made by our fans!
Welcoming the Warriors
Welcoming Glasgow Warriors to an extended capacity Allianz Park for the Champions Cup quarter final in 2016 was a truly memorable occasion. Glorious sunshine, an electric atmosphere and a cracker of a fixture made for one of the biggest afternoons Allianz Park has witnessed. To top it off the rugby spirit was fully visible – the Saracens Supporters Association welcoming their counterparts from the XVIth Warrior and starting friendships that have endured to this day! A perfect example of what it means to be part of the ruby family.
An historic double
After Sarries claiming their first Champions Cup title in May 2016 Sarries went one better, securing historic back to back European titles the following year. It was a significant moment on the club’s journey – which had seen the team go from beaten finalists at the hands of multiple European Champions Toulon in 2013 to double Champions themselves in just a few years. Not only was it a victory on the pitch but winning back to back titles also showcased the strength of the club culture and the hard work of all those involved with the club – on the pitch and off it.
2017/18 marked another milestone in Saracens’ journey as Saracens Women claimed the inaugural Tyrrells Premier 15s title by defeating rivals Harlequins. It was an achievement that would be replicated by the Men’s side just a month later as they overcame Exeter Chiefs to be crowned Premiership Champions, ending the season with a real display of character and determination to secure the title. A domestic double for the club is some feat, and one that both teams will be looking to build from next season.
To be part of the next stage of our journey as a club make sure you’ve secured your season ticket for 2018/19. Enjoy 16 home games throughout the year and be part of plenty more memorable moments along the way!
