TP15s Final Team News: Saracens Women vs Harlequins Ladies

Saracens Women have announced the match day 22 for Saturday’s Tyrrells Premier 15s Final against Harlequins Ladies at Franklin’s Gardens on Saturday 27TH April.

In total there are nine returning players from last year’s 24 - 20 TP15s Final win over Quins.

There is just one change to the starting XV from the 31-13 semi-final win over Wasps FC Ladies with Lauren Newman coming in for Chrissy Siczowa, who is unavailable due to commitments with RAF Rugby.

Newman makes her first appearance since the 31-28 win over Loughborough Lightning in Round 17 and will add to the team’s lineout options on Saturday.

It’s an all-international backline with Sarah McKenna, Sydney Gregson and captain Lotte Clapp linking up again in the back three.

Lauren Cattell and Hannah Casey continue their effective midfield pairing at centre while fly-half Zoe Harrison will be partnered by the experienced Georgie Gulliver at scrum-half.

In the pack, El Perry, May Campbell and Hannah Botterman form a youthful and mobile front row. The 17 seasons worth of experience in the form of Sonia Green is allied to new England cap Rosie Galligan in the second row.

Vice-captain Poppy Cleall and Scotland international Jodie Rettie retain their places in the backrow at No.8 and blindside flanker respectively.

On the bench, Sarah Bebbington comes in for Kat Robinson, also unavailable due to RAF Rugby commitments, and England 7s international Chantelle Miell has been rewarded for strong end of season form with a place on the bench in place of Georgie Lingham.

Hannah Duffy, Spain international Jeani Layola and Kay Searcy retain their places on the bench among the forward replacements.

Emma Swords and Nina Vistisen, who started at fullback in last year’s final, have also kept their place in the match day squad.

This will be the third time that these two have met this season with Quins winning 20-17 at the Twickenham Stoop in October and Sarries taking home the spoils, 31-28, at Allianz Park in January.
