Wardle runs riot in Wasps win

Saracens Women retained their spot at the top of the Tyrrells Premier 15s 2XV table with a comprehensive 39-10 victory over second placed Wasps Ladies on Sunday. Scores from Bryony Cleall, Kat Evans, Rowan White and Georgie Lingham, plus a hat trick from eighteen young old centre Cara Wardle leave Sarries top of the pile with only one fixture remaining.

Speaking after the match, head coach Rob Cain said: “It was a really positive and hard working performance from all of the group yesterday. It's always great to see hard work rewarded and this was definitely the story of the game. Our intent, ferocity around the collisions and our work post contact gave us the tempo we needed and our execution levels made sure we made each opportunity count. This goes a long way to challenging for the A league title leaving our fate in our hands against Richmond next week.”
