We definitely fronted up - Kruis
George Kruis put in a massive shift as Saracens dispatched Gloucester at Allianz Park on Sunday.
On his first start since returning from an ankle injury, the lock completed 80 minutes, making 17 tackles – the joint most alongside Mako Vunipola and Michael Rhodes – in Sarries’ fourth bonus-point win of the Gallagher Premiership campaign.
The England international declared himself ‘knackered’ after the match, adding the Men in Black executed their plan to take the game to the Cherry and Whites.
“It was good, we definitely fronted up,” he said.
“We talked about having a bit of buzz about us in the week and with Gloucester coming into it in pretty good form, I think we definitely put it out there today.
“We went a bit quiet in the last 20 but that probably shows how much the lads put in in the first 60.
“It was one of those games which was quite excitable to play in. We were pretty dominant in the first half and we’re happy.”
