Wray awarded Fans' and Players' Player of the Season

Jackson Wray picked up two end of season awards at the Big Bash, winning Fans’ and Players’ Player of the Season.

The back rower was rewarded for his remarkable consistency throughout the 2017/18 campaign after putting in another man-of-the-match display in the 62-12 victory over Gloucester.

A product of Saracens academy and closing in on his 200th appearance for the club, the 27-year-old drawn huge acclaim for his selflessness, work ethic and brutality on the pitch.

Out of the 26 matches he has played this season, Wray has completed 21 80-minute shifts and has three tries to his name.

To be recognised by both the supporters and his team-mates proves he is a worthy recipient of both awards.

“Thanks to everyone who voted for me,” Wray said.

“I couldn’t be prouder to receive the awards, especially as one is from the blokes I respect the most!

“I’m now looking forward to a huge finish to the season.”
