Powers set to collide at Allianz Park - Hamilton
Jim Hamilton says two of the country’s biggest clubs will do battle in front of packed Allianz Park on Saturday.
With the last remaining tickets selling fast, Saracens face a resurgent Leicester Tigers team that are timing their run to the play-offs with typical precision.
Hamilton is no stranger to the Tigers way of life. Spotted by Leicester legend Dusty Hare as a 17-year old playing in Coventry, the giant Scotland lock played 70 times for the Tigers in a five year stint at Welford Road before heading north to sign for Edinburgh.
Speaking ahead of Saturday’s clash, Hamilton said: “We have to make sure we can build on such a good win in Paris, and make sure that we put ourselves in a good enough position to win the game.
“It looks like there will be a fantastic crowd at Allianz Park this weekend, and that will drive the boys on. You’re talking about two of the biggest clubs in England going head-to-head for those top spots. It’s a home game for us, another huge clash and these are the types of matches that we enjoy playing in. We know that Leicester have just the Premiership to play for, and we’re looking forward to Saturday.
On facing Richard Cockerill’s inform side, he added: “I think all the games are difficult now we are heading into the business end of the season. Leicester have come good at the right time, and so have we to be honest.”
Just over 200 tickets remain on sale for this match - so if you want to come to the game, make sure you buy now. Click here to secure your place for Saracens vs Leicester Tigers.
