Sanderson praises Saracens youth
Saracens coach Alex Sanderson was delighted with Saracens younger brigade, as twelve players who have come through the Saracens Academy system took to the field in Saracens convincing 51-10 win over the Scarlets on Sunday.
"There were some good young players on show today and you're going to see a lot more of them" beamed Sanderson.
"The likes of Matt Hankin, who would have played for Bedford this weekend, but we called him in due to injuries. He had a superb game.
"Excellence breeds excellence so we hope the mix of youth and experience with bring success in this competition" added Sanderson.
"It's nice as well for two lads to get their first tries for the club at the end. It's great to having such exciting talent waiting in the wings.
The Saracens forwards coach, taking charge of in his second successive LV=Cup game, also praised his sides energy and endeavor.
“In terms of our attack we haven't been that much better than that all season. In the first half defensively there were a few things we could of fixed because they made some half breaks and in terms of our maul defense, its something we need to address ahead of Exeter.
"However the energy we had and when things went slightly wrong, the way we picked ourselves up went back on task was second to none” added Sanderson.
