Saracens eagerly anticipating Munster - McCall
Mark McCall says Saracens are eagerly anticipating Friday evening’s Champions Cup Round 2 fixture away to Munster.
The Saracens director of rugby takes his side to Limerick on the back of a hard-fought win against ASM Clermont Auvergne last weekend, and believes his side will have to replicate the resolve they produced against the French giants when then they face Munster under the light of Thomond Park on Friday night.
“The important thing last Saturday was we showed some resolve, and some resilience when we had to,” said McCall. “It wasn’t a straight forward match, the side displayed character, fight and as I said, resilience in abundance. Those are the kind of qualities you need to show if you are to be successful at Thomond Park.
“History suggests that they are particularly good at lifting their performance for these home games in Europe, and we have to ready for that and be prepared to match it."
McCall added; “This week has gone really well. Our preparation has been good, and of a high level. There’s real anticipation around the group for Friday night.”
