Saracens International Round-up
Several Saracens stars were in international action over the weekend across the globe.
Sarries had players competing in the Rugby Championship and both the Pacific Nations Cup.
On Friday morning, centre Marcelo Bosch lined up for Argentina as Los Pumas faced the All Blacks in Christchurch. The Premiership winning Sarries midfielder faced up against All Blacks Ma’a Nonu and Sonny Bill Williams as the Argentines were beaten 39-18 by a Richie McCaw inspired New Zealand performance.
On Saturday, Chris Wyles skippered the USA Eagles in their Pacific Cup Nations clash against Samoa at the Avaya Stadium, San Jose, California. Wyles was one of four Saracens on show with lock forward Hayden Smith, centre Thretton Palamo and prop Titi Lamositele also in action. 20-year-ol front rower Lamositele (pictured) came off the bench to score a try as the Eagles were edged 21-16 by Samoa in a tight contest.
Over to Africa, and Jacques Burger’s Namibia faced Russia in the second of three tests against the Bears at the Hage Geingob Rugby Stadium, Windhoek. After defeating the Russians 39-19 in the first test, Namibia ran riot in the second test running in five tries in a 45-5 win.
