Saracens to host Alumni day this Sunday
Some of Saracens’ past players will be in attendance at Allianz Park on Sunday , with the annual alumni day taking place for when Mark McCall's side face Exeter Chiefs.
In attendance are a multitude of former Sarries who have pulled on the famous black jersey over the years. The club is extremely proud of all it's former players who have taken to the field to represent the club - whether that be at Primrose Hill, Kings Langley, Crown Lane, Southgate, Firs Farm, north London, our spiritual home Bramley Road or at soccer grounds Enfield FC & Watford’s Vicarage Road….and let’s not forget Allianz Park.
Past players who have transcended the amateur and professional era’s with names will be there on Sunday, such as Saracens' first ever England international George Sherriff, who won his first cap for his country against Scotland at Murrayfield, Mar 19, 1966.
Also in attendance is Saracens most capped ever player John Buckton. A classy centre in his playing days, Buckton (pictured) made 319 appearances for the Men in Black from 1984 between and 1996 and won three caps for England, making his debut against the Wallabies in 1988.
They are many more who will be making the trip to Sunday’s game, so if you bump into them, make sure you say hello and thank them for their service over the years.
