Nick Tomkins, George Perkins and Aaron Morris all started in England U20s hard-fought 19-14 win over Ireland in Dublin.
Two second half tries were enough to see England take a well-earned victory in drizzly conditions at Donnybrook. The result sees England top the U20 Six Nations table.
Tomkins starting at inside centre had a solid and assured game, while Perkins on the wing showed glimpses of his electrifying pace. Aaron Morris, who has recently recovered from a long term injury, featured at fullback and was replaced at half-time.
Speaking after the game Head Coach Jon Callard said: “I’m hugely proud of the lads – they put in an excellent performance and fully deserved the win. Ireland were physical and they were a constant threat throughout, but we showed real character and I’m delighted with the way we held firm and got the victory.”
