0 minutes - Charlie Hodgson gets the game underway

1 minute - Saracens 3 - Sale Sharks 0

Hodgson sends over the penalty for the first points of the game, after Sale are offside at the ruck.

8 minutes - The Sharks have a great attacking platform with a line-out 5 metres from the Sarries line and are looking dangerous.

9 minutes - Saracens defend well and now have possession.

12 minutes - Cipriani strolls into score the game’s first try after Sale winger Ingall pounced upon a Kruis knock on to feed the former Engand No.10. Cirpiani converts the try.

23 minutes - Farrell knocks on after a Kruis offload. The England international was pressured into the error by some resolute Sharks defence.

30 minutes - Still Saracens 3 - Sale 7

32 minutes - Will Fraser looks to have taken a pretty nasty looking knock to his leg. The game has been stopped as he is attended to. Kelly Brown is on to replace him

36 minutes - Hodgson reduces Sales lead to one point with a penalty goal.

38 minutes – Rob Miller penalty. The Sale full-back nails a huge penalty goal from 54 metres out.

40 minutes - Cipriani kicks a drop goal on the stroke of half-time

45 minutes – TRY! Jack Wilson crosses on his Premiership debut - Hodgson misses the conversion.

48 minutes - Cipriani adds another three points with a penalty kick.

54 minutes –No Try. Sale looked to have scored again, but Ignall's attempt was ruled out for a knock-on in the build-up.

59 minutes - Hodgson kicks another penalty to reduce Sales lead to two points

74 minutes – TRY! Second-rower George Kruis bundles over to score. Hodgson adds the extras.

79 minutes - Hodgson kicks his fourth penalty of the afternoon

80 minutes – MacLeod boots a penalty for Sale.
