Saracens Women to entertain Worcester
Saracens Women return to Allianz Park for their first home fixture of the season against Worcester this Sunday, 15.30 kick off. They will look to build on the momentum of last weekend where they ran in 11 tries in the opener versus Aylesford Bulls.
Laura Eddie, Club chair and coach:
"We are really thrilled to be returning to Allianz Park for our third season. To have the opportunity to train and play at a world class venue and call it home is truly unique. Sharing the same pitch, same kit, same changing rooms as the professional guys is fantastic and every time the players step out they feel like they are part of something special. The women's game may still be amateur but we are striving to create a professional environment and keep raising the bar. Saracens are really leading the way here making every effort to bring us together as one club and strengthen the 'Sarries family' ties. We hope that it encourages more men's teams to follow suit and open up similar opportunities for their female counterparts.
We can't wait to pull on the new Big Smoke kit and step back out at Allianz Park for our first home fixture this weekend."
Flanker, Hannah Gallagher:
"It's a real privilege to play at Allianz Park. The quality of the pitch is amazing and means our training preparation is never disrupted. It's an amazing place to play for me with the pitch being quick so you always know it's going to be an exciting game. Seeing the Saracens values stamped around the stadium and in the changing rooms all adds to the pride and determination every time you pull on that jersey and step out. It's also cool to see visiting teams get excited to be playing on it and take photos. This just reminds us of how lucky we are to have this as our home."
Show your support this weekend for the double winning Saracens team by joining us at Allianz Park. Entrance and parking is free.
