Sharman praises 'phenomenal' job
Brett Sharman played a key role in Saracens’ 9-21 win way to the Ospreys at The Gnoll.
The 27-year-old hooker made his full-debut for the club after signing a deal earlier in the week.
Speaking after Saracens’ win at a drenched Gnoll, Sharman said; "I think the weather played into our hands. The guys have been training all week to keep it tight and thought our forwards did a phenomenal job tonight. I think going forward it shows what this group is capable of.
“We didn’t go through the motions in training this week. We have been practicing against the boys who will be playing on Sunday so we really brought that intensity in our set-piece to tonight’s game. It was a really good week’s preparation and credit to all the boys, we really performed for the whole 80 minutes.”
Sharman played his first 80 minutes for the club and the former Bath, Northampton and Blue Bulls front rower says he is loving life at his new club.
“It’s been awesome since I’ve arrived at the club,” he said, “all the guys have been completely welcoming, they’ve helped me a lot with all the calls and moves, and have just been great with everything. It’s been a fantastic experience so far and I’m so grateful to have this opportunity.”
