Sarah started playing rugby at Essex Uni when she decided that she wanted to try something new and was hooked after her first game. After graduating and going on to study a Masters, she continued to play and with the help of a ‘if you do it I’ll do it’ chat with a close friend, joined Hackney RFC and developed skills and confidence in a supportive community based club. After a number of years playing for Hackney, she took the plunge to push herself further and joined Saracens in 2015.
Barbs' most memorable Rugby achievement so far has been starting for the 1’s at the away game vs Darlington and hopes the coming season will have many more positive memories to go with this.
Away from Rugby (if there is such a thing?) she enjoys working as a Medical Equipment Engineer, specialising in the Women’s, Maternity and Baby wards. She also enjoys cycling, swimming, watching puppy videos and horse riding. Further to this she has recently learnt to dive and enjoys the SUB culture of being underwater trying to find Nemo, and was introduced to the underwater world by small cleaner fish that enjoying nibbling fingers ears and lips. Next on Sarah's to do list is to swim with Turtles.
