Having represented Saracens in 5 different positions in the backline throughout the course of his career, Chris Wyles is considered one of the most versatile players to wear a Sarries shirt and continues to be one of Mark McCall’s most dependable players.

The son of English parents, Chris was born in the USA, before moving to the UK aged 11. His professional rugby career has included brief spells at Nottingham, where he attended University, and Northampton Saints before linking up with Saracens in 2008.

Since his club debut against Sale in 2008, Wyles has enjoyed a stellar Saracens career with well over 200 appearances for the Men in Black, and he has played an important role in winning Premiership and Champions Cup titles.

His international career has proved just as fruitful, having played in three Rugby World Cups in 2007, 2011 and 2015, captaining his native USA in the latter and gaining 54 caps for the Eagles. As well as a career in the XV’s game, Wyles also represented the USA in the shortened 7’s format between 2007 and 2009, as well as becoming an Olympian with Team USA in the 2016 Olympics in Rio, before retiring from the international scene in 2016.

Off the pitch, Chris is known for his ventures with former Saracen Ali Hargreaves in setting up Wolfpack Lager, hugely popular at Allianz Park on a matchday.
