A versatile and dynamic outside back, Duncan Taylor is an all-action player who has excelled at both club and international level.
Enjoying a slightly unconventional introduction to the sport, Taylor’s childhood was split between England, Scotland and Australia, not playing for a county representative side or a professional club until signing for Bedford aged 17.
His outstanding set of performances for the Championship outfit caught the eyes of the Saracens selectors, joining the north London club on a dual registration deal in the summer of 2011.
Since linking up with Sarries, the potent attacker has put in several seasons of impressive play, making over 100 appearances for the club, firmly establishing himself as one of Europe’s finest outside backs in a period that saw Saracens win Premiership and Champions Cup titles.
Stepping straight into international rugby at senior level, he played for Scotland A at the beginning of 2013, before stepping up to make his full debut against Samoa later that year. He qualifies for Scotland through his parents, who were both born north of the border, and has 18 caps to his name so far. His exciting potential and sparkling club form for Saracens is sure to see him win many more.
