A talented back rower, Joel Conlon produced a man-of-the-match performance on his first ever Premiership start for Saracens in February 2017, impressing after a frustrating spell of injuries.

After working his way through the Exeter Chiefs Academy, Joel joined the club in 2015, and has benefitted from learning from experienced teammates Kelly Brown and Jim Hamilton as he pushes towards earning a regular starting spot, as well as having the opportunity to improve his skills on loan at Bedford Blues during 2015/16.

He has enjoyed international representation for England U20’s, playing in back-to-back Junior World Championship tournaments in 2013 and 2014. In a highly successful period for the U20’s, Conlon was part of the squad that won both titles, and scored the winning try in the 2014 final, as England recorded a 21-20 win over the Junior Springboks.

With a promising future ahead of him, the young back row player has the potential to become one of the brightest sparks in the English game.
