In a move from Super Rugby that sees him re-joining the Saracens ranks, the towering lock forward Will Skelton brings bulldozing physicality, a superb offloading game and a constant desire to improve and develop his skills.

Born in New Zealand to a family of Samoan descent, Skelton moved to Australia at the age of 10. A former junior Rugby League Player, he picked up union as a teenager whilst attending Sydney’s Hills Sports High School.

After joining the Waratahs academy in 2011, Michael Cheika, the then-Waratahs head coach, signed him to the Super Rugby side’s extended player squad ahead of the 2013 campaign, after a promising period in the academy set up. Will made his senior debut later that year against the Stormers and also faced the British and Irish Lions.

Skelton is no stranger to Allianz Park, having made eight appearances for the Men in Black in an impressive two-month stay at Allianz Park early in the 2016/17 season. Slotting into the reigning European and English Champions side with ease, he will link up with the side ahead of the 2017/18 Premiership campaign.

18 is something of a significant number with regards to Will- to date, he has represented Australia in international rugby 18 times, as well as playing in size 18 boots!
