Brad Barritt

Brad Barritt has been the cornerstone of Saracens’ Wolfpack defence since 2008.
The South African-born centre joined the club from Super Rugby outfit the Sharks over a decade ago and his relentless defensive efforts, granite-like toughness and outstanding work rate have endeared him with the Sarries supporters.
Barritt is just the second ever captain to lift the European Cup three times.
Winning Player of the Season award in 2009/10, Barritt assumed the club captaincy in the summer of 2016 after deputising for Alistair Hargreaves on several occasions, leading the Men in Black to a second European title in his first season in the role.
Two Premiership winners’ medals and a further Heineken Champions Cup have followed under his leadership with the latter accolade coming in a man-of-the-match display against Leinster in May 2019.
On the international stage, Barritt represented South Africa U21 and the Emerging Springboks before earning a full England cap in 2012 before touring Australia with the British & Irish Lions a year later.
Outside of rugby, he has a qualification in Business Management and owns a coffee company Tiki Tonga Coffee Roasters – Saracens’ official coffee supplier.
