Hannah Duffy first played rugby when she was 11 after a PE teacher told her should would be good.

She joined in the boys’ training but there were no female clubs nearby, so it was not until she started at the University of Chichester that she began playing seriously.

After graduating in Physical Education, Duffy joined Thurrock Ladies near her home in Essex, and some strong performances in the 2017/18 season led to her being scouted for Saracens in the summer of 2018.

She was vice-captain of Essex Women when they won the 2017/18 Gill Burns County Championship. She also came off the bench in the 2018/19 Tyrrells Premier 15s final against Harlequins Ladies.
