PLAYER BIO
HUGH TIZARD
Hugh Tizard is a powerful and athletic second row who joined Saracens from Harlequins ahead of the 2022/23 season. Having come through the Harlequins academy after beginning his rugby journey at Guildfordians RFC, Tizard made his senior debut in 2019 before establishing himself in the first team.
Since arriving at StoneX Stadium, Tizard has become an important part of the Saracens pack, bringing physicality, strong lineout work and an effective carrying game. He made an immediate impact in his debut season, starting in the 2023 Premiership Final as Saracens defeated Sale Sharks to secure the title.
Tizard’s performances earned him selection in England’s senior training squad in 2022, having previously represented England Under-20s. He went on to represent England A in 2024 and continued to develop his international career.
In February 2025, Tizard signed a new long-term contract with Saracens, committing his future to the club as an established member of the forward pack.
