“I got married just before I came here and now we have two kids and we’re living the Sarries life. We really love it.”
Juan Figallo is back in the international fold after a frustrating 2018/19 filled with injury at club level with Saracens.
The prop, regarded as one of the best scrummagers in the world, is one of the overseas players in Argentina’s squad and is edging towards 30-plus caps for his country.
Affectionately known as Chipi, Figallo arrived at Sarries in 2014, coinciding with a very successful period in the club’s history.
He was part of the squad which won back-to-back European Cups as well as four Premiership titles.
Despite winning the domestic and European double in 2016, one match in particular will be forever etched in Figallo’s mind. The ex-Montpellier front rower celebrated the birth of his son before leaving the hospital to play a match against Gloucester just 45 minutes later!
Figallo has been involved in two World Cups and is set to attend this year’s tournament in Japan.
