Mike Rhodes

Mike Rhodes quickly became a fan favourite after arriving at Allianz Park in 2015.
A tough-tackling, durable back rower, the back rower began his professional career with the Sharks in his hometown Durban before stints in Super Rugby with the Lions and the Stormers.
“Being able to stop the momentum of the other side is huge in the modern game. It’s something I take pride in.”
He moved across to England with Sarries ahead of the 2015/16 season and he contributed immensely to the club’s success that season. The South African produced countless impressive performances and started both the Premiership and Champions Cup final – the latter the first ever European title in Saracens’ history.
The following season Rhodes starred for the Wolfpack as they retained their European crown and he was recognised by his teammates, winning Players’ Player of the Year.
Internationally, Rhodes faced the British & Irish Lions in 2009 and played for the Barbarians five years later.
