A master of the box kick, Richard Wigglesworth is one of the true stalwarts of the Saracens squad.

“Wigglesworth’s box kick has come to represent the most potent weapon in a Saracens team brimming with greatness.” – The Telegraph

Having risen through the ranks at Sale Sharks, winning his first Premiership with the Manchester outfit in 2005/06, the scrum-half swapped the North West for Sarries in 2010 and has proved pivotal in the club’s success on the field.

In his debut season, the Men in Black won its maiden league title and four have followed since alongside three European Cups – his pinpoint accuracy from the boot proved invaluable in monsoon conditions to secure the first of the latter.

Wigglesworth has appeared over 200 times for Saracens and in 2018/19 broke former captain Steve Borthwick’s record as the all-time Premiership appearance holder.

Internationally, the Lancastrian has appeared in two World Cups with England and has 31 caps.

He also works as Championship side Ealing Trailfinders’ Attack Coach.
