It was a mixed weekend of results for the Saracens teams, find out how they got on in our latest round up.

Saracens Men

There was heartbreak for the Men in Black as a last minute Paddy Jackson penalty got London Irish a 32-30 win on Saturday afternoon.

Sarries were 29-20 down entering the last 10 minutes but they managed to take the lead in incredible fashion with just one minute left after Nick Tompkins’ try and five points from Alex Lozowski’s boot, however they were stung by in the final play which meant they had to settle for a losing bonus point.

There is no match this weekend for the Men as they have their bye week, but they will be back in action on Saturday 5th March when Leicester Tigers head to StoneX Stadium in what will be an enormous match against the league leaders.

Saracens Women

Unfortunately due to Storm Eunice the Women’s match against Gloucester-Hartpury was postponed. We will let you know as soon as a new date for the match has been set.

Alex Austerberry’s side have a huge match ahead this weekend, as they head to Bristol on Sunday in a meeting of the top-two in the Premier 15s.

Saracens Mavericks

The Mavericks continued their perfect start to the season as they beat Severn Stars 62-52 to make it four wins from four. Ine-Mari Venter was the Player of the Match with an incredible 49 goals and 94% shot accuracy which went a long way to securing the win.

They continue their campaign this Saturday when they welcome Manchester Thunder to Herts Sports Village, with kick off at 16:00.

Internationals

It was a break in the Six Nations at the weekend, however there may well be plenty of Saracens representation on Saturday at Twickenham. Maro Itoje, Jamie George, Max Malins, Elliot Daly and Nick Isiekwe have all been called in to the England squad, and they could come up against Nick Tompkins who is in the Wales squad.
