'We'll take the win' -Wigglesworth
Richard Wigglesworth believes Saracens second half attacking performance was key to their 28-15 European Champions Cup win against Sale Sharks on Saturday.
Speaking after the game, Saracens' England half-back said; "We attacked much better in the second half without the field position. In the first half we had the field position yet didn’t attack that well, but we just didn’t have enough opportunities to attack. When we did, we looked a more cohesive unit going forward and that’s a positive we can take out of today.
"We’re obviously very pleased to have won. We don’t really talk about bonus points in the lead up to games but there’s a definite frustration about some parts of our performance, particularly our discipline in and around the halfway line, giving a good Sale maul too many opportunities in dangerous parts of the field".
He added; "We actually defended them pretty well, but by that we didn’t give ourselves enough opportunities at the other end if the pitch. In saying that we’ll take the win and move on".
