Wigglesworth bemoans 'errors'
Richard Wigglesworth believes Saracens’ error count cost them a victory away to Munster.
Wigglesworth came off the bench in Saracens 14-3 loss at Thomond Park, and the 31-year-old half-back has challenged his team to back-to-back victories against his former club Sale Sharks in December when the European Champions Cup resumes.
Speaking after the game, Wigglesworth said; “We made too many errors tonight, but we did look good in parts. Fair play to Munster, they brought a lot of intensity and we just made too many errors and couldn’t put them under enough pressure.
“When we had half-chances we just forced the pass, and when they had their chances, they took them. When you are chasing the game, with a greasy ball, against a very good team, then you are always going to be up against it.
He added; “It’s disappointing, but we always knew that this Pool was going to be very tough. It will probably go right down to the wire and come December, we have some massive games against Sale that we’re going to have to win.”
