Wyles - We can't wait for Gloucester clash
Try scorer Chris Wyles admitted it was a frustrating night at Bath on Friday, but insisted that thoughts had already turned to the visit of Gloucester to Allianz Park on Saturday, kick off is 3pm.
His second half try looked to have started a fightback for the visitors to close the gap to within a single score, but the home side held on for the win.
He said: "It was a very frustrating night, but credit to Bath because they played well. They put us under a lot of pressure and we just didn't do the fundamentals well. We conceded too many line breaks and gave away far too many penalties - we just didn't seem ourselves.
"We conceded two tries from deep which is very unusual for us and we felt we had them under pressure a few times, only to let them off the hook. There were a couple of turning points in the game where I felt we were going to rally and kick on, but we couldn't quite get over the line. But we have to give Bath credit for that because of the pressure they put us under."
Now thoughts turn to the visit of the new look Gloucester side who visit Allianz Park on Saturday, fresh from a victory over Leicester Tigers.
"It's going to be a great match," explained Wyles. "We'll have a good training week and we said in the changing room after the game at Bath that we now want to step up and show what we are made of. We're already excited about the game."
